Sorry, no idea. I don't use Windows, but I know what you mean. The only thing I did when this happens is repeat it until it worked. Maybe someone else can help?

thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I do not really understand what you mean. The phone driver is installed for the switched on device. But when I try to conntect the switched off phone Windows is showing the "install"-message. After a while the details window is showing "driver not installed - device disconntected"
do you have any idea what I should do?

You need flasher version 3.12 not 3.5. The 3.5 version is for maemo 5 on the N900.

you could do it with cat. use it to write your current content in another file and then cat line by line to the new one with correct content.

Charge the battery and connect a switched on phone. It should also autostart when you connect it to the PC and begin charging.

hi, i my wife n9 used to have DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_005-OEM1-958_ARM and I tried an OTA update which failed.
I then flashed it with DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_005-OEM1-958_ARM. it flashed successfully but got stuck on nokia screen. what did i do wrong?

Hey Ricardo.......I really like this post..becasue ....I just removed my tracker program from my /usr/bin/tracker/
.So after that my N9 shows to reflash the OS... and I followed your steps..I got my Beautiful N9 back...really thanx.....

Just use PR1.2 in a european or american variant. The only concored firmware is the chinese one.

Hey Ricardo,
thank you very much for setting up these guidelines for flashing the N9.
It helped me a great deal since I got delivered a N9 with SW version 10.xxx. and behaving very strange.
I now flashed ver 30.xxx and this handset became a beauty ;-)
